Steam needs to copy this new feature from the Xbox app

Microsoft is testing a new feature for the Xbox app on PC that seems so obvious it’s amazing that it hasn’t reached all of them. the shops of pc games . The beta version of the app will now tell you right away if a game will work well on your PC, making it infinitely easier to make purchasing decisions.

When you access a compatible game, as reported by The Verge You will see a simple area near the top of the screen that says “It should play great on this PC.” That means you can buy the game (or download it via Game pass ) and you don’t have to worry about whether it will run or not.

The feature is definitely in the early stages of testing and you will need to download the Xbox Insider app to test it, but it looks promising. We hope that Steam , Epic and other PC game stores borrow it. Many games don’t even have tags yet, but if this takes off, it could lower the barrier to entry for PC games for some people.

Of course, Steam and the Xbox app have long shown the minimum and recommended requirements of the system of a game. And you could compare them to your PC specs to see if a game is playable, but not everyone knows what GPU they have or how much RAM their PC is running. Having a quick little feature that says this game will or won’t run is incredibly useful.
