MacBook Air 13 cooler replacement
In any laptop, the cooler is constantly in motion, so over time, it starts to make noise and rattles. Replacing the cooler on your MacBook Air 13 “2012 will help you eliminate this annoying noise. Thanks to these instructions, you can do it yourself!
For repair, you will need:
- Pentalobe screwdriver,
- Torx screwdriver T6.
Let’s get started. Take the Pentalobe screwdriver and unscrew the 10 back cover screws. Remove the cover.
First of all, after removing the cover, disconnect the battery. This will avoid short-circuiting.
Disconnect the cables connecting the motherboard and Magsafe boards. They will not allow us to get to one screw holding the cooler.
Disconnect the cooler cable, unscrew three screws and remove the cooler.
In its place, we put a new cooler, connect the cables, assemble the MacBook. That’s all! The replacement is complete
