Listening to music while driving is a great way to pass the time. If you are already using Google Maps to navigate on your iPhone or Android device, you can also control your music with it.
In an attempt to help you keep your eyes on the road, Google Maps integrates with a number of music streaming services including, but not limited to, Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Pandora, and more. Controls can be placed directly on the navigation screen, so you don’t have to switch applications while driving. We will show you how it works.

Then go to “Navigation”.
And now select “Music Playback Controls”.

With that out of the way, you can start navigating to a location.
Swipe up on the bottom card and you will see a widget for your music app with multimedia controls.
