How to set dietary requirements on Google Maps

For specific food recommendations while search in google maps , you can set your dietary requirements in the app. We will show you how to do it on your iPhone, iPad, and Android phone.

In the Google Maps application on your phone, you can set various diet options, including alcohol-free, gluten-free, halal, kosher, vegan, and vegetarian. Then when you search for food places, Google Maps will only show the locations that serve food according to your dietary requirements.

Note: this function in the mobile version of Google Maps. You cannot access it in the web version on your desktop.

Update dietary preferences on Google Maps

To set dietary requirements, first, launch the Google Maps app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android phone. In the upper right corner of the app, tap on your profile icon.

In the ‘Settings’ menu, tap ‘Manage your preferences’.

On the ‘Manage Your Preferences’ page, tap ‘Diet’.

You will arrive at a “Dietary Preferences” page. Here, check the boxes for which you would like to get recommendations. Then, at the bottom of this page, tap “Update Preferences.”
