Sending a Google document to someone by email is as easy as clicking a few buttons. You can use Gmail or any other email client to do this, and we’ll show you how to do it on desktop computers and mobile devices.
To send an email to a Google doc, you can use an option within Google Docs who uses your Gmail account. Or, if you want to use your own email application, you can download your Google document from the site to your computer and then attach that document to an email in your email application.
You can also send Google documents by email from your mobile devices, as we will explain below. Throughout the guide, we use the term “doc”, which refers to Google Docs documents. But you can follow the same steps to email your Google Sheets and Google Slides.
On a Windows, Mac, Linux, or Chromebook computer, you can use the Google Docs site to email a document to someone. This sends your document as an attachment through Gmail.
To use this method, open a web browser on your computer and start the site of Google Docs . Then select the document you want to email.
On the document editing screen, locate the menu bar and select File> Email> Email this file.
Now your email is sent with your Google document as an attachment. The recipient must open their inbox to download your file. Very useful!

To do so, open your document in the site of Google Docs . On the editing screen, select File> Download. Then choose the type of file you want to download.

Your Google Document file is now available locally on your computer, in your chosen file format.
To email this Google document to someone, compose a new email in your preferred email client and attach the document file to your email. Are you ready.
You can also email a Google doc from your iPhone , iPad Y telephone Android . To do this, use the free Google Docs app on your phone.
First, open the Google Docs app on your phone and log into your account. Then touch the document you want to email. On the document screen, in the upper right corner, tap the three dots.
In the three-dot menu, tap “Share & Export.”
In the “Share and Export” menu, select “Send a copy”.
Google Docs will open a “Submit a copy” box. In this box, select the format in which you want to send your document and tap “OK”.

And there goes your Google doc to its intended recipient via email!
Instead of sharing a Google document via email, you can share your document through a link. In this way, the recipient can view and even edit the document on the web, without the need for any desktop application.
