If you need to verify, update or delete your credit card numbers saved by Google Chrome’s autocomplete feature , it is easy to do so using the browser’s payment method settings. That’s how.
First, open Google Chrome on your Mac, PC, or Linux computer. In any Chrome window, click the three vertical dots button in the upper right corner. In the menu that appears, click on “Settings”.
The “Settings” tab will open. Click on “AutoComplete” in the sidebar, then select “Payment Methods”.
In the Payment Methods settings, look for a subsection also called “Payment Methods” near the bottom of the window. If Chrome has previously saved any credit cards, it will appear here. To see more information about any card, click on the “three dots” button next to it.
In the small menu that appears, select “Edit”.
In the “Edit Card” window that appears, you can see the full credit card number, its expiration date, the name on the card, and the card’s nickname.
While in the card editing screen, you can make changes to the card’s stored information if necessary, or copy and paste the information to another destination. When you have finished making changes, click “Save”.
Back on the Payment Methods screen, if you want to add a new credit card that Chrome will use for auto-fill, click the “Add” button. Or if you want to delete a credit card saved in Google Chrome, click the three-dot button next to the card in the list and select “Delete.”
After that, close the Settings tab and you’re done. Every time you need to check your stored cards again, just revisit Google Chrome Settings> Autocomplete> Payment Methods.
Manage Google Pay cards in Chrome
If you are signed into a Google account in Chrome and have a credit card linked to Google Pay You will see it listed if you open Settings and navigate to AutoComplete> Payment Methods (as in the previous section).
To view details about a card linked to Google Pay, click the icon next to it (which looks like a square with an arrow inside) and the Google Pay website will open.
You will not be able to see the full credit card number as you can with a card stored by AutoComplete locally (see the previous section). But you can see the last four digits and the expiration date.
You can also add or remove a card stored on the Google Pay website by clicking ‘Remove’ or ‘Add payment method’. Good luck and happy shopping!
