How to make your Facebook post shareable

Have you ever made a Facebook post hoping your friends and followers would share it, only to find that they don’t even see a share button? That can happen if you don’t set the correct audience on a post.

In order for your Facebook posts to be shared, you must change the audience of your posts a Public. Doing so adds a Share button to your posts that your friends and followers can use. We will show you how to do this.

How to enable the Share button on a Facebook post

The instructions for changing the audience for a post are the same for both desktop computers (Windows, Mac, Linux, and Chromebook) and mobile devices (iPhone, iPad, and Android phones).

Start by opening Facebook and finding the post you want to share.

In the upper right corner of the Facebook post, click the three dots.

In the menu that opens after clicking on the three dots, select “Edit audience”.

You will see a “Select audience” window. Here, at the top, select “Public”.

And everything is ready. Your friends and followers will now see a Share button below your post. They can click this button to share their post wherever they want. Happy sharing!

You will have to repeat this process for each post you want to share.
