In Windows 11, when you link your Microsoft account with your PC, the Photos app automatically displays the images from your OneDrive storage. If you want hide these images of OneDrive in Photos, you can do it . We will show you how.

Prevent Photos from displaying OneDrive images

To hide OneDrive images in Photos, first, open the Photos app on your Windows 11 PC. To do this, open the “Start” menu, search for “Photos,” and click the application in the search results.

In the Photos app, in the upper right corner, click the three dots.

Click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner of Photos.

In the three-dot menu, select “Settings”.

Please select

Scroll through the “Settings” screen to the “Microsoft OneDrive” section. Here, uncheck the “Show my content only in the cloud from OneDrive” option.

Note: In the future, to show your OneDrive images in Photos, just turn on the “Show my content only in OneDrive cloud” option again.


And everything is ready. Photos will no longer show any images from your OneDrive storage. The privacy of your photos is now in your own hands! If the Photos app continues to frustrate you, you can simply find a different app and set it as the default app to search for images.
