Almost all native Windows apps have received a facelift in Windows 11, and Microsoft Paint was not going to be the exception. In the new version of Paint we can enjoy the new Dark Mode, for this, we simply have to follow the steps below.

It is worth mentioning that the new version of Paint is now available in Windows 11However, it is currently incompatible with Dark Mode, to achieve it, we are going to activate it manually.

How to have Microsoft Paint dark theme in Windows 11

Microsoft has completely redesigned the Paint application in Windows 11, which has a more modern interface, according to the new Redmond operating system. But unfortunately the current version running on Windows 11 does not have Dark ModeTo do this, we are going to activate it by carrying out a completely simple procedure.

In order to enjoy the new dark theme of Microsoft Paint on Windows 11 we are going to do the following:

  • We uninstalled the current version of Microsoft Paint that we run on the new Windows.
  • When it has been uninstalled, we will download and unzip the package Dark Theme Paint.
  • Now, open the folder, type Powershell in the address bar and run it.
  • Then in the newly opened PowerShell screen, copy paste this string and enter: Add-AppxPackage -Register. AppxManifest.xml.

When we have finished the procedure, we can enjoy the Microsoft Paint Dark Mode in Windows 11.

Remember that if the dark theme of Paint is not to your liking, you can always go back to the original version, simply uninstall the package that we have previously installed and download the original version from Microsoft Store.
