What is Sound Check on iPhone?

It is simple, your iPhone’s Sound Check feature basically tries to keep your music volume at a constant level. A quick and easy explanation is that if, for example, you are listening to a quiet music with a quieter sound and you go to a louder one, your iPhone makes sure that the volume of that louder track is not higher than that of the quiet one.

It does this by scanning your songs and finding the volume of each song. The information is then saved in the metadata of each song, however the actual, original songs are not changed.
