How to disable restricted mode on YouTube

YouTube’s restricted mode block content for Adults on the platform. If you want to view that content, you will first need to disable restricted mode on your device. This is how you do it.

Note: You will need to disable restricted mode on each of your devices individually, as YouTube does not sync these settings on the devices you are signed in to.

Cases in which you cannot disable restricted mode

If your organization has enabled restricted mode on your device, you will need to contact them to disable it. Also, if your parents manage your account YouTube (Google) With the Family Link app, your parents will have to disable restricted mode on their device.
