Your Android phone it has many sensors they do many different things. If you are concerned about privacy, location tracking is something you may be concerned about. Fortunately, Android makes it easy to turn off GPS and other location services with a single tap.

There are a few different ways to disable sensors on Android. It is even possible turn off all sensors at once . On a smaller scale, you can disable microphone or camera . We’ll use a similar approach for location access.

There are two methods you can use to disable your devices access to your location. The fastest method is to use the aptly named “Quick Settings” panel. This is the toggle panel you see when you fully expand the notification dropdown menu.

The “Location” option may already be in your Quick Settings panel. Just tap it to turn location access on or off. If you don’t see the switch, you can easily edit Quick Settings and rearrange everything to your taste.

The second method is a little less convenient. First, swipe down once or twice from the top of the screen, depending on your phone, to open notifications and tap the gear icon.

Then scroll down to “Location”.


Turn off “Use Location” at the top of the screen.


That’s all about it. Go back to the Location settings to turn it back on. Turning this off will prevent apps from seeing your location. You will not be completely invisible as WiFi and cellular networks can also be used to track your location. If turning off your location is not enough, you can try spoof your location .
